Acid yellow-17 (C.I. 18965), also known as Disodium 2, 5-dichloro-4-(5-hydroxy-3-methyl-4-(sulphophenylazo)pyrazol-1-yl) benzenesulphonate, and Yellow 2G is an anionic, reactive textile dye. This synthetic azo dye possesses a stable aromatic structure with SO₃H and OH groups. The applications of Acid yellow-17 are seen in detergent, soap, textile, printing, and cosmetic industries.
