Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-12063R-CY3)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: GAD-65 and GAD-67, glutamate decarboxylases, function to catalyze the production of GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). In the central nervous system GABA functions as the main inhibitory transmitter by increasing a Cl- conductance that inhibits neuronal firing. GABA has been shown to activate both ionotropic (GABAA) and metabotropic (GABAB) receptors as well as a third class of receptors called GABAC. Both GABAA and GABAC are ligand-gated ion channels, however, they are structurally and functionally distinct. Members of the GABAA receptor family include GABAA R alpha 1-6, GABAA R beta 1-3, GABAA R gamma 1-3, GABAA R gamma , GABAA R delta. The GABAB family is composed of GABAB R1 alpha and GABAB R1 beta. GABA transporters have also been identified and include GABA T-1, GABA T-2 and GABA T-3 (also designated GAT-1, -2, and -3). The GABA transporters function to terminate GABA action.

Description: Anti-CPPED1 Mouse Polyclonal Antibody
UOM: 1 * 50 µG

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-11066R-A647)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: The downstream of kinase family (Dok-1-7) are members of a class of “docking” proteins that include the tyrosine kinase substrates IRS-1 and Cas, which contain multiple tyrosine residues and putative SH2 binding sites. Dok-4, Dok-5 and Dok-6 are more similar to each other than to the other Dok family members, and may constitute a subfamily of the DOK genes. Dok-5 is a tyrosine kinase substrate that enhances c-Ret-dependent activation of mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK). Dok-5 transcript is abundant in muscle and increases during T cell activation. Dok-5 protein undergoes tyrosine phosphorylation in response to insulin and insulin-like growth factor-1. Dok-6 is highly expressed in the developing central nervous system. It associates with Ret to transduce Ret-mediated processes such as axonal projection.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-2514R-A488)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Receptor for a number of inflammatory CC-chemokines including MIP-1-alpha, MIP-1-beta and RANTES and subsequently transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ion level. May play a role in the control of granulocytic lineage proliferation or differentiation. Acts as a coreceptor (CD4 being the primary receptor) for HIV-1 R5 isolates.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-13629R)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Chloride channels (CLCs) regulate cellular traffic of chloride ions, a critical component of all living cells. CLCs are involved in membrane potential stabilization, signal transduction, cell volume regulation and organic solute transport. The putative 247 amino acid protein chloride intracellular channel 2 (CLIC2), also designated XAP121, shares 60% identity with the CLIC1 protein and demonstrates expression in only fetal liver and adult skeletal muscle tissues. The CLIC2 gene maps to chromosome Xq28 and contains 6 exons. Because a direct association exists between a number of human chloride channel genes and a range of hereditary diseases, CLIC2 is a potential candidate for one of the many diseases linked to Xq28. The hereditary form of incontinentia pigmenti (IP2), for example, is a rare disorder characterized by abnormalities of the tissues and organs derived from the ectoderm and neuroectoderm that has been linked to Xq28

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-5669R-A750)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: This gene encodes a member of the ribosomal S6 kinase family of serine/threonine kinases. The encoded protein responds to mTOR (mammalian target of rapamycin) signaling to promote protein synthesis, cell growth, and cell proliferation. Activity of this gene has been associated with human cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed. The use of alternative translation start sites results in isoforms with longer or shorter N-termini which may differ in their subcellular localizations. There are two pseudogenes for this gene on chromosome 17.

Description: Ten to forty percent of the patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) develop cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections. In some patients with AIDS, CMV is detected in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), urine, and other specimens, even when there are no symptoms of CMV disease. An indicator of active CMV infection is needed to facilitate the diagnosis of CMV disease in patients with AIDS or HIV infection. CMV p65 antigen was detected in the leukocytes of both the peripheral blood and BALF during the early phase of CMV disease.
