Pullulan, edible plastic excellent in adhesiveness and film formability. Pullulan is a natural neutral polysaccharride produced form starch by cultivating a black yeast.


  • Solubility: dissolves easily in cold and hot water (50 mg/ml; 1/20; clear)
  • Particle size: 10 to 20 mesh


Pullulan can been used in a study to assess bone tissue engineering and to investigate anti-fog applications.
