Description: LSD1 (Lysine-specific demethylase 1), also called KDM1 (lysine (K)-specific demethylase 1A), is the first histone demethylase to be identified and regulates transcription via demethylation of lysines 4 and 9 of Histone H3. It negatively regulates pro-inflammatory cytokine expression by interacting with the genes promoter region. It also plays a role in tumor development where overexpression of LSD1 correlates with a poor prognosis. It is upregulated in cancers of the bladder, breast, lung, colon, and GI tract as well as neuroblastoma and cells of mesenchymal origin such as chondrosarcoma, osteosarcoma, rhabdomyosarcoma and Ewing's sarcoma (Bennani-Baiti et al, 2012).

Catalog Number: (PRSI92-232)
Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: SUMO3 belongs to the SUMO protein family and operates like ubiquitin. Ubiquitin-like protein which can be covalently attached to target lysines either as a monomer or as a lysine-linked polyer. Nevertheless unlike ubiquitin that targets proteins for degration, SUMO3 takes part in several cellular processess, such as nuclear transport, transcription regulation, apoptosis and protein stability. SUMO3 participates in amyloid beta generation and has a key role in the oneset or progression of Alzheimer's disease.

Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: Lysine-tRNA ligase, also known as Lysyl-tRNA synthetase, LysRS, KARS and KIAA0070, belongs to the class-II aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family. The N-terminal cytoplasmic domain (1-65) is a functional tRNA-binding domain, which is required for nuclear localisation, is involved in the interaction with DARS, but has a repulsive role in the binding to EEF1A1. A central domain (208-259) is involved in homodimerisation and is required for interaction with HIV-1 GAG and incorporation into virions. KARS catalyses the specific attachment of an amino acid to its cognate tRNA in a two step reaction: the amino acid (AA) is first activated by ATP to form AA-AMP and then transferred to the acceptor end of the tRNA. Defects in KARS are the cause of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease recessive intermediate type B (CMTRIB).

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-8402R-HRP)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: The GCLC gene consists of 16 exons and encodes the 636 amino acid protein g-GCSc (g-glutamylcysteine synthetase heavy subunit), also designated g-L-glutamate-L-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit (GLCLC). g-GCSc is expressed in hemocytes, brain, liver and kidney. g-GCSc associates with a regulatory or modifier subunit, g-GCSm (g-glutamylcysteine synthetase light subunit), to form a heterodimer, g-GCS. g-GCS is the first enzyme involved and the rate determining step in glutathione biosynthesis. Oxidants, cadium and methyl mercury upregulate the transcription of g-GCS. H2O2 regulation depends on the Yap1 protein and the presence of glutamate, glutamine and lysine. Cadium regulates transcription through proteins Met-4, Met-31 and Met-32. Cbf1, a DNA binding protein, inhibits transcription of g-GCS. Chemopreventive compounds cause increased levels of g-GCSc in kidney tissues, which may protect against chemically induced carcinogenesis. A His370Leu amino acid change in g-GCSc causes deficiencies in activity which are responsible for hemolytic anemia and low red blood cell glutathione levels.Defects in GCLC are the cause of hemolytic anemia.

Description: TREML2 is expressed throughout B cell development in addition to being expressed on macrophages and neutrophils and is the only TREM molecule to be found on lymphocytes. TREML2 is expressed on B lineage cells early in development, and the highest level of expression is detected on those mature peripheral B cell subpopulations that are involved in the initial humoral immune response against bacterial pathogens. TREML2 is unique in that it lacks either the conserved transmembrane lysine residue or ITAM/ITIMs within its own cytoplasmic domain. Thus, TREML2 does not exhibit any of the features associated with classical tyrosine-based signaling. Monocytes in the bone marrow or peripheral blood do not express detectable levels of TREML2, but its expression is up-regulated in conjunction with differentiation into macrophages. TREML2 is present on neutrophils in the bone marrow as well as the periphery, and inflammatory stimuli result in a dramatic increase in the expression of TREML2 on these cells in vivo.TREML2 is a single-pass type I membrane protein, and it contains 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. It is a cell surface receptor that may play a role in the innate and adaptive immune response. TREML2 is located in a gene cluster on chromosome 6 with the single Ig variable (IgV) domain activating receptors TREM1 and TREM2, but it has distinct structural and functional properties.
