Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-5175R-CY5.5)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Vital cellular functions such as cell proliferation and signal transduction are regulated in part by the balance between the activities of protein tyrosine kinases (PTK) and protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPs). The protein contains a 121 residue extracellular domain, a single transmembrane segment, and 2 tandem intracytoplasmic catalytic domains. The PTP alpha protein is ubiquitously expressed and may play a fundamental role in the physiology of all cells.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: B cell adaptor for phosphoinositide 3-kinase (BCAP) is a tyrosine kinase substrate that bridges B cell receptor (BCR) associated kinases to the PIK3 pathway. Syk, Btk or Lyn-dependent tyrosine phosphorylation of BCAP, provides binding sites for the p85 subunit of PIK3. BCAP mRNA is present in mouse spleen, thymus, liver, lung, macrophage and B cell lines. Human BCAP maps to chromosome 10q24.2.

Description: c-Kit is a transmembrane tyrosine kinase encoded by the cKit proto oncogene. c-Kit acts to regulate a variety of biological responses including cell proliferation, apoptosis, chemotaxis and adhesion. Ligand binding to the extracellular domain leads to autophosphorylation on several tyrosine residues within the cytoplasmic domain, and activation. Mutations in c-Kit have been found to be important for tumor growth and progression in a variety of cancers including mast cell diseases, gastrointestinal stromal tumor, acute myeloid leukemia, Ewing sarcoma and lung cancer. Phosphorylation at tyrosine 721 of c-Kit allows binding and activation of PI3 kinase.

Description: Tyrosine kinase of the non-receptor type. Probably performs an important function, perhaps in regulatory processes such as cell cycle control.Fer protein is a member of the FPS/FES family of nontransmembrane receptor tyrosine kinases. It regulates cell-cell adhesion and mediates signaling from the cell surface to the cytoskeleton via growth factor receptors.

Description: Protein phosphorylation is a fundamental event in the regulation of a large number of intracellular processes. Phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues is the result of activation or stimulation of their respective protein tyrosine kinases. The phosphorylated proteins can be auto-phosphorylated kinases or certain cellular protein substrates. Tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins are involved in signal transduction and in the regulation of cell proliferation. Antibody to phosphotyrosine provides an excellent tool for the detection, characterization, and purification of phosphotyrosine containing proteins. This MAb shows no cross-reaction with other phosphoamino acids and is superb for multiple applications including staining of formalin/paraffin tissues.

Description: p130 represents one of several known substrates for v-Crk encoded p47. p130 Cas (for Crk-associated substrate) exhibits a high level of tyrosine phosphorylation and is tightly associated with v-Crk, suggesting a role in v-Crk-mediated cell signaling. The molecular cloning of p130 Cas has shown it to represent a novel SH3 containing signaling molecule with a cluster of multiple putative SH2-binding motifs for v-Crk. By immunoprecipitation analysis, p130 Cas has been shown to be highly phosphorylated at tyrosine residues subsequent to either v-Src p60 or v-Crk-mediated transformation and to form stable complexes with both of these transforming proteins. p130 Cas behaves as an extremely potent substrate for protein tyrosine kinases and has been reported to relocate from the cytoplasm to cell membrane upon tyrosine phosphorylation. One proposed model is that the SH2 domain of v-Crk functions to activate c-Src kinase, which in turn phosphorylates p130 Cas.
