Description: As a major event in type allergic reaction, degranulation of mast cells is triggered by the interaction between specific IgEs and high affinity IgE receptors (FcRIs) on mast cell membrane, and is followed by the release of a battery of inflammatory mediators, such as histamine, leukotrienes and arachidonic acid, and these inflammatory mediators in turn induce a series of allergic symptoms.Recently,Allergin-1 has been found to be an immunoglobulin-like receptor preferentially expressed on mast cells. The crosslinking of Allergin-1 to FcRIs on mast cells may inhibit the signal transduction from FcRIs to intracellular immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM),generate ITIM inhibitory signals, which then participate in the regulation of mast cell degranulation, and finally block the initiation of allergic inflammation.

Description: Caldesmon, Filamin 1, Nebulin and Villin are differentially expressed and regulated Actin binding proteins. Both muscular (CDh) and non-muscular (CDl) forms of Caldesmon have been identified and each has been shown to bind to Actin as well as to calmodulin and Myosin. CDh is expressed predominantly on thin filaments in smooth muscle, whereas CDl is widely expressed in non-muscle tissues and cells. Filamin 1, which is ubiquitously expressed and exists as a homodimer, functions to crosslink Actin to filaments. Nebulin is a large filamentous protein specific to muscle tissue that may function as a ruler for filament length. Several isoforms of Nebulin are produced by alternative exon usage. Villin is Ca2+-regulated and is the major structural component of the brush border of absorptive cells.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: This gene encodes a highly glycosylated transmembrane protein with a high content of threonine and serine residues in its extracellular domain, similar to a broadly defined category of proteins termed mucins. Exposure of some cell types to anti PORIMIN (pro oncosis receptor inducing membrane injury) antibody, crosslinks this protein on the cell surface and induces a type of cell death termed oncosis. Oncosis is distinct from apoptosis and is characterized by a loss of cell membrane integrity without DNA fragmentation. This gene product is proposed to function as a cell surface receptor that mediates cell death.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-3640R-A750)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Plectin interlinks intermediate filaments with microtubules and microfilaments and anchors intermediate filaments to desmosomes or hemidesmosomes. Could also bind muscle proteins such as actin to membrane complexes in muscle. May be involved not only in the crosslinking and stabilisation of cytoskeletal intermediate filaments network, but also in the regulation of their dynamics.

Description: The Fanconi anemia complementation group (FANC) currently includes FANCA, FANCB, FANCC, FANCD1 (also called BRCA2), FANCD2, FANCE, FANCF, FANCG, FANCI, FANCJ (also called BRIP1), FANCL, FANCM and FANCN (also called PALB2). The previously defined group FANCH is the same as FANCA. Fanconi anemia is a genetically heterogeneous recessive disorder characterized by cytogenetic instability, hypersensitivity to DNA crosslinking agents, increased chromosomal breakage, and defective DNA repair. The members of the Fanconi anemia complementation group do not share sequence similarity; they are related by their assembly into a common nuclear protein complex. This gene encodes the protein for complementation group E.
