Catalog Number: (786-678)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Swift™ Film Cleaner allows researchers to clean film that has been overexposed or has a high background or speckling without having to repeat experiments. Suitable for all exposed film developed for gel shift assays, Western, Southern and Northern blots.
UOM: 1 * 1 KIT

Catalog Number: (786-514)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Triton® X-100 is for solubilising membrane proteins during isolation of membrane-protein complexes.
UOM: 1 * 1 L

Catalog Number: (786-651)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: β-Galactosidase assay is for determining the β-galactosidase activity in the lysates of cells transfected with a β-galactosidase expression construct. It uses chlorophenol red-β-D-galactopyranoside (CPRG), which is up to 10 times more sensitive than the classic O-nitrophenyl-β-D-galactopyranoside (ONPG) β-Galactosidase assays. This increased sensitivity makes it simpler to measure β-galactosidase activity in cells that are difficult to transfect or have low β-galactosidase activity expression. β-Galactosidase activity is measured using a spectrophotometer or a microplate reader to determine the amount of substrate converted at 570 to 595 nm.
UOM: 1 * 500 Assays

Catalog Number: (786-627)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: For improved dialysis time and rates.
UOM: 1 * 50 mL

Catalog Number: (786-791)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: A proteolytic enzyme immobilised on 4% agarose that is routinely used for the generation of F(ab’)₂ fragments from Immunoglobulin G (IgG). The pepsin has the ability to cleave the heavy chains near the hinge region. The immobilised Pepsin offers the distinct advantage of eliminating enzyme contamination of the F(ab)₂ fragments.

Catalog Number: (786-790)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: A cysteine protease enzyme (EC 3.4.22.2) immobilised on 4% agarose, cleaves Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibody molecules in the hinge region, generating three ~50 kDa fragments; two Fab domains and a Fc domain. The papain-digested antibody is unable to promote agglutination, precipitation, opsonisation, and lysis.

Catalog Number: (BE-502)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Dot blotting is a simple technique to identify a known protein in a biological sample. The ease and simplicity of the technique makes dot blotting an ideal diagnostic tool.
UOM: 1 * 1 KIT

Catalog Number: (P317)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Potassium hydroxide
UOM: 1 * 100 g

Catalog Number: (786-453)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: The Phosphatase Assay Kit is designed to measure the activity of phosphatases in biological samples and to screen for agonists and inhibitors of phosphatases. The Phosphatase Assay Kit uses para-nitrophenyl phosphate (pNPP), a chromogenic substrate for most phosphatases, including alkaline phosphatases, acid phosphatases, protein tyrosine phosphatases and serine/threonine phosphatases.
UOM: 1 * 1 KIT

Catalog Number: (P315)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Potassium chloride
UOM: 1 * 100 g

Catalog Number: (BE-401)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: The physical properties of proteins kit is a lab activity that enables students to investigate the physical properties of several different proteins. Students will learn about protein solubility and how it is affected by various parameters; including temperature, pH, salt and dielectric constant. They will understand about protein precipitation due to pH, high salt and in the presence of organic solvents and about protein denaturation as a result of high temperature. In addition, the kit will demonstrate how non-protein agents, such as detergents drastically alter the physical properties of protein molecules and as a result, understand the importance of detergents in protein solubilisation. This lab activity involves analysis of three different types of pure proteins and then students alter some of those properties with a detergent and re-examine physical properties of those proteins. Students are challenged to consider how physical properties of protein molecules can be exploited for purification and characterisation of proteins and apply their findings on a test sample of complex tissue extract.

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: GET™ DNA Template is a spin column format kit suitable for the preparation of DNA templates from blood, cells, fungal and animal tissue samples. The isolated genomic DNA is suitable for PCR and other downstream applications.

Catalog Number: (BE-318)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: The kit utilises the principle of diffusion of nucleic acids on a nylon membrane to determine their concentration. No spectrophotometers required.
UOM: 1 * 1 KIT

Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: GenLysates™ are total protein tissue and cell lysates that are extracted from the tissue or cell of interest. To inhibit proteolysis, the GenLysates™ are prepared in a lysis buffer containing a complete protease inhibitor cocktail. Each lysate lot is tested by electrophoresis and Western blot analysis.
