Description: The BC96 monoclonal antibody specifically reacts with the 55 kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein known as the interleukin-2 receptor alpha (IL-2R alpha, also known as CD25). CD25 is expressed by the early progenitors of T and B lymphocytes lineage, and by activated mature T and B lymphocytes. CD25 is a low affinity interleukin-2 receptor, but its association with the IL-2 receptor beta chain (CD122) and the common gamma chain (CD 132) results in a high affinity IL-2R complex. CD25 plays an important role in B and T cell proliferation, differentiation, and activation.

Catalog Number: (PRSIXP-5197)
Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: Iterleukin 7 is a lymphoid cell growth factor that affects pre-B, pro-B, and early T cells. IL-7 was previously known as pre-B cell growth factor and lymphopoietin 1. IL-7 supports the growth of early B cells from long-term lymphoid bone marrow cultures. It is mitogenic to thymocytes and enhances the response of cells to other stimuli such as polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) and concanavalin A (ConA). IL-7 stimulates the proliferation of CD4+/CD8+ cells.

Description: IL-8 is a member of the CXC chemokine family. This family of small basic heparan-binding proteins are proinflammatory and primarily mediate the activation and migration of neutrophils into tissue from peripheral blood. This chemokine is one of the major mediators of the inflammatory response and is secreted by several cell types in response to an inflammatory stimulus. It functions as a chemoattractant, and is also a potent angiogenic factor. IL-8 attracts neutrophils, basophils, and T-cells, but not monocytes.

Description: Rkhd4 Antibody: Rkhd4, also known as MEX3A is a member of a novel family of four homologous human MEX3 proteins each containing two heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein K homology (KH) domains and one carboxy-terminal RING finger module. MEX3 proteins, including Rkhd4, are phosphoproteins that bind RNA through their KH domains and shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm via the CRM1 export pathway. These proteins are a novel family of evolutionarily conserved RNA-binding proteins, differentially recruited to P bodies and potentially involved in post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms. While Rkhd2 has been suggested to be associated with susceptibility to essential hypertension type 8, the function of Rkhd4 remains unknown. Rkhd3 and Rkhd4, but not Rkhd2, co-localize with both the hDcp1a decapping factor and Argonaute (Ago) proteins in processing bodies (P bodies), recently characterized as centers of mRNA turnover.

Description: Ribose-Phosphate Pyrophosphokinase 2 (PRPS2) is a phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthetase that belongs to the ribose-phosphate pyrophosphokinase family. PRPS2 is a homodimer. The active form is probably an hexamer composed of three homodimers. PRPS2 catalyzes the synthesis of phosphoribosylpyrophosphate (PRPP) that is essential for nucleotide synthesis. PRPS2 catalyzes the synthesis of 5-phosphoribosyl 1-pyrophosphate from ATP and D-ribose 5-phosphate. In addition, PRPS2 plays a central role in the synthesis of purines and pyrimidines.

Description: Apoptosis is a cell death process that removes toxic and/or useless cells during mammalian development. The apoptotic process is accompanied by shrinkage and fragmentation of the cells and nuclei and degradation of the chromosomal DNA into nucleosomal units. DNA fragmentation factor (DFF) is a heterodimeric protein of 40-kD (DFFB) and 45-kD (DFFA) subunits. DFFA is the substrate for caspase-3 and triggers DNA fragmentation during apoptosis. DFF becomes activated when DFFA is cleaved by caspase-3. The cleaved fragments of DFFA dissociate from DFFB, the active component of DFF. DFFB has been found to trigger both DNA fragmentation and chromatin condensation during apoptosis.Apoptosis is a cell death process that removes toxic and/or useless cells during mammalian development. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.

Description: CCDC47 Antibody: The coiled-coil domain is a common protein motif that is often involved in protein oligomerization and is found in proteins such as transcription factors and intermediate filaments. The CCDC47 gene maps to chromosome 17 at 17q23.3. Little is known about this single-pass membrane protein except that the coiled-coil domain is within the cytosolic domain near the carboxy terminus.
