Description: Propidium Iodide (PI) is a membrane-impermeant DNA binding dye that cannot penetrate viable cells. PI rapidly enters cells with compromised membranes and intercalates between base pairs allowing exclusion of non-viable cells from analysis of flow cytometry data.
